Come discover the quaint town of Placerville. Newly completed sections of the El Dorado Trail allows riders to explore various parts of town. The section north of town, mostly paved, follows the old railroad track grade all the way up to the southern tip of Apple Hill. It is a decent uphill all the way to the turn around, with a nice downhill ride all the way back to town. It is very scenic and well worth the ride.
Our rental policy: We will provide you with the right bike for your ride, at a reasonable price. All rental bikes come with a helmet. A valid credit card and drivers license are required for our rental bikes.
Our current rentals: 2 Hardtail mountain bikes (shocks on the front forks):
- Trek 4300 19.5in frame
- Schwinn 17.5in frame
- 1 hybrid 700c, wheels bigger than a mountain bike, more like a classic 10 speed
- 1 hybrid mountain bike, step-thru design with smooth tire tread.
Prices for our rentals:
Per day– $20 : pick up the bike as early as 9:30am, return it 15 minutes before shop closes. Closing time varies with the seasons and weekends. Check with a shop employee before leaving the shop.
Weekends– $30: pick up the bike Friday afternoon, return Monday at agreed upon time, usually any time that day, unless the bike has been reserved for Monday, then as soon as possible on Monday morning.
Per week– $60: pick up the bike on your requested day, return at agreed upon day, roughly one week from pick up day.
Adams Trail-a-bike– this fun add on hooks to the seatpost of your bike and keeps your child right behind you: $15 per day.
